Orbital Shakers, with Remote Control for Incubators, CO2 Incubators, Suspension Cell Cultures and General Use

Overview

The compact NB-101S RC and the medium sized NB-101M RC are orbital shakers designed for use in standard and CO2 incubators as well as for any general purpose application where quiet, reliable, vibration-free orbital shaking is required. Using remote control the NB-101 Series shakers are ideal for suspension cell culture growth, in which animal and human cells are grown in a CO2 Incubator with high humidity.

The NB-101S RC and NB-101M RC shakers are designed and constructed for use in high humidity conditions with moisture-proofing of components and the remote controller is able to be located outside the incubator so the electronics are not affected.

The BLDC motor of the shaker does not generate dust or heat to negatively affect the culture or the incubator environment. With the remote controller located outside the incubator, there is no need to open the chamber repeatedly, losing CO2 in the process, in order to adjust the shaker’s parameters for more ideal cell culturing. Applications such as bio-similar medicine using Chinese hamster ovary cells and sub-culturing adherent mammalian cells make good use of the ability to use an NB-101S RC or NB-101M RC in a CO2 incubator.

The shakers are programmable for control of speed and time. Their flat footprint facilitates multiple tiers to be placed in CO2 Incubators and the NB-101M RC fits in the Thermo 180 Liter models. Models in the NB-101 Series are available or will soon be available to be used as orbital shakers, reciprocal shakers, or simultaneously as orbital and reciprocal shakers, with remote control and for use in incubators.

The NB-101S RC and NB-101M RC shakers could be equipped with a universal platform for use with flask clamps and tube racks, or simply use the popular and convenient washable Sticky-Mat to place containers directly on the platform without any hardware. A spring wire universal attachment is available to hold all kinds of flasks and bottles.

NB-101 Series shakers are also available without the remote control as an integrated standard shaker having all above features and could be triple stacked for enhanced capacity and economy of space.
